Registered Professional Engineer in New York

Ms. Lama joined Vidaris early 2015 within the New Construction department. She is a Professional Engineer with expertise in façade design and building physics. Her background as a mechanical engineer enables her to model the thermal and structural performance of a range of building envelope systems. Her duties include providing the client with the support needed in order to produce a set of bid documents which accurately reflects the design intent of the façade, while clearly communicating the technical performance requirements of the systems. Specifically, this can include producing detail sketches, writing specification sections, reviewing contractor’s proposals, and performing various thermal and structural calculations in order to inform the design of the building envelope.

During the construction administration phase, Ms. Lama’s responsibilities include reviewing shop drawings, calculations, and product data submittals for compliance with contract documents, attending visual mock-ups, and observing performance mock-up testing. She also performs shop visits to fabrication facilities for various wall systems, and visits to site during construction to inspect work in progress.
