|Client:||New York City School Construction Authority|

The PS 59 MEETH Annex School will be one of the first schools in New York City to meet the criteria of the NYC Green Schools Rating System. Working with the design team (EEK Architects and Goldman Copeland for MEP) and with the developer (World-Wide Holdings), Vidaris has been performing energy analyses and the “green” consulting services for the project.
The MEETH project is anticipating meeting the 9 ‘Required with no points’ credits as well as 25 of the 28 ‘Required with Points’ credits and 11 other credits for a total of 36 points.
The building features many green elements including water efficient plumbing fixtures which will result in a 42% water use reduction, a measurement and verification system, low emitting materials, materials which are locally sources and which have recycled content as well as a building with a very high percentage of spaces with access to daylight and views.
The current design of the MEETH School includes energy efficiency measures to achieve 20.2% energy savings over ASHRAE 90.1-1999.
