PS 59 MEETH Annex School was one of the first schools in New York City to meet the criteria of the NYC Green Schools Guide Rating System. This system was adapted, in part, from the Collaborative for High Performance Schools and LEED NC 2.2, and certification under its guidelines is meant to be roughly equivalent to a LEED NC 2.2 Silver rating. Working with Ehrenkrantz, Ekstut & Kuhn Architects and the developer (World-Wide Holdings), Vidaris is performed energy analyses and "green" consulting services for the project.
