The new college center at Richard Stockton College, located in Pomona, New Jersey, serves as a central gathering place on campus. The building features amenities for the student body and college staff, including: administrative offices, areas for student clubs and organizations, dining facilities, an auditorium, a bookstore, a lounge and retail spaces. The building utilizes the existing geothermal aquifer thermal energy storage (ATES) system and a new 30,000 sq. ft. voltaic photo array on the adjacent athletic center tied to the campus electric grid. The energy efficiency measures incorporated into the project exceed the requirements of the ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1-2004, Appendix G, by approximately 30 percent, qualifying for six LEED points.
