This residential tower is located in a vibrant Brooklyn neighborhood. Viridian collaborated with Costas Kondylis Architects to help fashion an environmentally-considered building that offers its tenants a healthier environment. The building has wide windows that offer broad views with plentiful daylight. Still, it has been designed to minimize the light cast onto the night sky. High water efficiency is one of the important features, with fixtures rated for 30% savings. The glazing is energy efficient (spectrally-selective, allowing more light than heat), the lighting in common area is highly efficient, and the HVAC systems surpass Code requirements. Viridian provided energy modeling and LEED consulting services for the project. NYSERDA provided energy efficiency incentives for the project.
