A masterpiece of International Style Modernism and in 2015 still the 15th tallest building in New York City, One Chase Plaza is a signature work by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill architect Gordon Bunshaft. An anodized aluminum-clad monolith, the building rises from an innovative multi-leveled base and is given whimsical context by French artist Claude Dubuffet’s well-loved sculpture “Four Trees.” Instrumental in the Post-War rejuvenation of the then-fading Financial District, the complex was given New York City Landmark status in 2008 – Vidaris having previously consulted on the cleaning of the soaring façade and provided inspection of the new caulking throughout in 2006.
