Commissioning and Retro-Commissioning

SOCOTEC provides commissioning services through the entire lifecycle of an asset, from design & construction and through post occupancy. SOCOTEC also provides both fundamental and enhanced commissioning on more than 17 million square feet on various projects.

SOCOTEC also provides Retro Commissioning services, Continuous Commissioning and Post Occupancy Evaluations, processes which involve monitoring facility functions to ensure performance levels are maintained.

SOCOTEC provides hands-on testing and monitoring, using our qualified technicians with an average of 20 years of experience and are capable of meeting the demands of HVAC building commissioning on a large-scale basis.

Non destructive testing techniques:

-Infrared imaging
-Ultrasonic thickness testing
-Chiller/boiler eddy current testing

Energy Efficiency:

-For monitoring energy efficient measures in the implementation phase, our engineers can install and monitor data loggers and tracking devices.
-Additionally, to help develop transparency for savings associated with specific energy efficiency measures, we work with clients to develop an M&V plan primarily based on the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP).

 SOCOTEC has Building Envelope and NYC DOB expertise, and has the unique capability to draw from over 100 architects and engineers with deep knowledge of building envelope consulting and commissioning, building use, egress, occupancy, bulk, fire safety, sustainability consulting and energy analysis. Former NYC Buildings Commissioner, Robert LiMandri, and several other former NYC DOB regulatory officials. Our Building Commissioning and Inspection Service offerings by giving careful consideration to the complex interdependency of mechanical systems and building envelope, as well as building code, energy code, multiple dwelling, and zoning law impacts.
