Mr. Arbour has over 15 years of experience working on new construction projects, specializing as a façade system designer and consultant to architects. His professional work has been focused on the conception, detailing and construction of custom-designed building facades. He has a wide-ranging knowledge of building materials and the procedures of fabrication, assembly and construction of diverse building enclosure systems. His experience comprises the elaboration and development of architectural concepts in the design process and their materialization and transformation through the fabrication and construction processes. Mr. Arbour is a seasoned manager of project teams composed of a wide range of professionals including building developers and owners, architects, consulting engineers, construction managers and specialty contractors.

Prior to joining Vidaris in 2014, Mr. Arbour was Director of Sales for North America at the German glazing contractor seele, Inc. Mr. Arbour assisted design for building owners, architects and façade consultants on a diverse range of specialty façade projects. His responsibilities included the preparation of façade bid documents including cost estimates, proposal drawings and installation and logistics scenarios; the coordination of structural engineers, façade designers, cost estimators and project management teams for the competitive bidding of custom-fabricated building systems. Mr. Arbour developed and implemented strategies for expanding the firm’s market presence and diversifying its material capabilities.

Experience with previous firms include: creating architectural details for curtain walls, skylight glazing systems and lightweight structures; developing structural concept designs in collaboration with structural engineers; drawing schematic design and design development packages for cladding systems and structures; consulting with architects regarding construction sequencing and material assemblies; coordinating contractors and subcontractors and performing site inspections; and researching daylighting and environmental control systems for façades.
