MetroGreen Apartments Building C is part of a larger development plan, a mixed-use Transportation Oriented Development consisting of residential units and office space.  It is the first of the three planned residential buildings to be built.  This 4-story apartment building contains 50 affordable units, with 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms.  The site is adjacent to the Stamford Transportation Center.

The building has a variety of sustainable building strategies including rainwater recaptured for irrigation and laundry use, extensive soil remediation prior to construction, and recycling of more than 90% of the construction and demolition waste generated during the project.

Metro Green C energy features include high-performance building envelope, high-efficiency boilers, high-efficiency lighting and use of energy star appliances.

Vidaris performed the LEED/green consulting and commissioning work in support of Perkins Eastman Architects.
