RBS, Britain’s second largest bank, built its “J” shaped, North American Headquarters building on a 3.4 acre site. This luxurious building contains amenities such as a gym, corporate store, cafeteria, and a rooftop deck.

Vidaris worked closely with the architects and assisted with the development of project drawings, details and performance specifications. As building envelope consultants, Vidaris also monitored the shop fabrication of the facade and witnessed the on-site erection and testing of various facade systems. The expansive glazing extends from floor to ceiling. The sheer size of the façade make day lighting control and shading an imperative. The building’s operable louvers and dimming systems create a healthy and comfortable indoor environment as well as energy savings. As roofing and waterproofing consultants, Vidaris consulted on the penetrations, planters on the garage and terraces, and the green roof. Vidaris monitored the field work to verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications. One of the building’s sustainable design elements is the collection of greywater on the rooftop courtyard.
