James Ostroski

Education: Masters of Education - Rutgers University Bachelor of Arts, A.B. - Rutgers University   Mr. Ostroski has nearly 50 years of experience and is a Senior Technical Consultant of Vidaris’ roofing and waterproofing department, providing consulting services to clients to develop economical and effective roofing solutions for new construction as well as existing buildings. He is a member of the Roof Consultants Institute and the National Roofing Contractors Association. As a roofing consultant for new projects, Mr. Ostroski represents Owners and Architects and is involved from conception through construction, examining submittals for the roofing and waterproofing systems for conformance with contract documents and performance criteria. He also participates in the bidding process, monitors the work in progress to verify compliance of work with approved drawings and specifications, and performs on-site inspections of roofing installation. For existing buildings he performs an analysis of roofing failures, roof assessments, design of repair and maintenance programs and design of re-roofing and waterproofing programs.

Alberto Mora

Registered Architect: NY Education: Bachelor of Architecture - The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art   Mr. Mora has worked with Vidaris since 1999 and is a Consultant in testing and construction of curtain walls, structural glass, masonry, and precast concrete. Mr. Mora has consulted in both new construction and restoration projects, made forensic assessments of existing buildings, performed laboratory and field test monitoring, and managed field inspection services. Mr. Mora currently serves on Vidaris’ litigation support team. He has notable experience on dispute resolution and litigation cases involving, hospitals, courthouses, corporate buildings, industrial buildings and multifamily buildings.

Stuart Mitchell

Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering - Texas A&M University   With over 13 years of professional experience in construction consulting, Mr. Stuart Mitchell has played a leading role on a wide variety of commercial, multi-family residential, healthcare, transportation, and institutional projects across the nation. He has collaborated on and managed a wide range of consulting and commissioning services focusing on risk mitigation in designing air/water/vapor/thermal control layers of materials and systems, and ensuring compatibility with project requirements. As a Senior Consultant in Vidaris’ Boston office, Mr. Mitchell leads technical efforts, helps grow the business, and manages the new construction team in New England. Mr. Mitchell excels in leading teams in all aspects of building enclosure consulting and commissioning – from schematic concept and design development, through the construction document phase, to completed construction. His consistent contact with clients paired with his commitment to quality control and alignment of systems, deliverables, and communications ensures an exceptional client experience and careful management of projects as they progress. Prior to Vidaris, Mr. Mitchell worked for Pie Consulting & Engineering where he oversaw a sizable team. There, he made significant contributions to the firm through designing a growth strategy and developing an internal management system that tracks projects, staff, equipment and deliverables. He also made significant contributions to his own technical experience – he performed hygrothermal analysis of exterior wall and roof assemblies, developed an Electronic Leak Detection test program per ASTM D7877, and performed nighttime infrared roof surveys.

Antonio Luz

Registered Architect: NY, Spain Education: Degree in Architecture - Escuela Tecnica Superior de Arquitectura de Valencia, Spain Professional Certificate in Business Management - School of Continuing & Professional Studies   Mr. Antonio Luz has over eleven years of expertise in building enclosure systems. He has provided building envelope consulting services focusing on new construction materials including: curtain wall, window wall, point-supported glazing, brick-faced and stone-faced precast panels, masonry, architectural concrete, stone and Portland cement plaster. He has experience with roofing and below grade waterproofing design, construction documents, specifications, field inspections, shop drawing review, and construction administration. In addition, Mr. Luz has experience with Energy Code compliance analysis, condensation analysis, and investigative services such as leak investigation and remediation, and materials research. Mr. Luz is proficient in Spanish, Catalan, and English.

Joseph Lombardi

Registered Architect: NY Education: Bachelor of Architecture - University of Miami School of Architecture   Mr. Lombardi has over 9 years experience of building envelope design, detailing and project management with a focus on building envelope rehabilitation and restoration. Upon joining Vidaris in April 2014, Mr. Lombardi was placed within the Existing Buildings department. The majority of his recent experience has mainly focused on NYC Local Law 11/98 rehabilitation, as well as other exterior rehabilitation projects such as roofing replacement and plaza rehabilitation. He is versed in identifying project budgets and properly executing construction documents and other deliverables. Throughout his professional career, Mr. Lombardi has produced construction documents and overseen projects for clients including municipalities, universities, building managements, and real estate developers around the Tri-State area; coordinated continuing education seminars with product manufacturers and professional organizations; performed investigations concerning the causes of water infiltration into buildings and produced reports which included the assessment of the conditions present and recommendations on how to remedy the observed issues; investigated from suspended scaffolding and from grade level; consulted for projects involving waterproofing and structural issues, as well as the review of other architect’s designs and details; and finally, became educated in all areas of exterior rehabilitation, design and waterproofing including curtain wall systems, masonry and concrete rehabilitation, window replacement, plaza construction, parking garage rehabilitation, and below grade repairs.

William Logan

Registered Architect: NY Education: Master in Architecture - Harvard University Graduate School of Design Bachelor of Architecture – Princeton University   After attending Princeton University’s School of Architecture and Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, Mr. William Logan spent seven years in Europe working with Renzo Piano, Richard Rogers, Peter Rice and Frei Otto on several innovative and challenging building projects. Upon his return to the U.S., he has had the privilege of working with numerous internationally-known architects including Cesar Pelli, Norman Foster, Bernard Tschumi and many others, on numerous projects. As an Architect, he specializes in implementing the designer’s architectural intent through vigorous analysis and studies, presented in sketch form. In addition, he draws on a deep background and understanding of performance requirements, fabrication technologies, testing and constructability issues. He has served as a primary curtain wall consultant for some of the tallest and most complex buildings in the world, including the Twin Towers of the Kuala Lumpur City Center, International Finance Center of Hong Kong and many others. Developers and Architects have depended on Mr. Logan’s advice and counsel on selecting cladding systems, design criteria and contracting parties on some of the world’s highest profile projects. His work encompasses many building types, including commercial, residential, academic and medical in the United States, Europe, and South America.

Danny Glickman

Professional Engineer: NJ, NY Education: Master of Business Administration - New York Institute of Technology Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering - Ohio State University   Mr. Glickman has extensive experience in various aspects of design, inspection and testing of building exteriors including the design of steel and concrete structures, field inspection and testing. Since 1988, his work experience has included monitoring the installation of different types of exterior wall systems such as aluminum and glass curtain walls, pre-cast concrete panels, pre-fabricated panels, masonry, granite truss systems, and handset stone. He has also performed and witnessed mock-up testing of exterior wall systems at various laboratories and performed failure analysis on buildings throughout the world.

Alexander Argento

Education: Bachelor of Art in History - Oglethorpe University, Atlanta, Georgia   Mr. Argento joined the firm in 1998, and over the years has served as Corporate Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President. Mr. Argento had a senior leadership role in combining the operations of Israel Berger & Associates and Viridian Energy & Environmental in 2011.  In 2012, he continued in the development of the technical and administrative operations of Vidaris, Inc. - now serving as the conduit and corporate framework through which all brands and current service offerings are provided. Currently, as the Senior Vice President and Director of Operations he oversees and provides leadership for client communications, contract negotiations, administration and the business development departments.  As Vidaris continues to grow, he coordinates the opening and management of satellite offices. Mr. Argento’s work as a senior relationship manager for Vidaris can be exemplified on projects, such as MGM City Center in Las Vegas, Nevada and the Hotel Bel Air in Beverly Hills, California.  Currently he is collaborating with Vidaris’ senior management team in the performance of our services on the World Trade Center redevelopment project in New York City which comprises approximately 7 million square feet of commercial, office, retail and institutional construction. Before joining Vidaris, Mr. Argento worked as a Project Manager for Pavarini Construction.

Michael Chen

Professional Engineer: NY Education: Masters in Civil Engineering - Massachusetts Institute of Technology Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering - Massachusetts Institute of Technology   Mr. Michael Chen has specialized in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structural engineering since 2003. With Vidaris since 2007, he has worked on a variety of large and small commercial, institutional and residential projects. He has experience with different types of wall systems such as masonry, window wall, curtain wall, precast, prefabricated panels, and reclad. Mr. Chen is responsible for field inspection of exterior cladding systems, consulting, report writing and shop drawing review. He also performs structural analysis of glass and wall systems and is involved in mockup testing.

Stanford Chan

Registered Architect: NY Education: Bachelor of Architecture - The Cooper Union School of Architecture   Mr. Stanford Chan has extensive experience with consulting and monitoring on various exterior envelope and roofing systems. His experience includes new construction, re-clads, overclads, restoration, window replacement, and storefront replacement. He has extensive knowledge of the following systems: masonry (veneer and multi-wythe walls), curtain wall, window wall, and various roof systems. As Director of the Restoration Division and the Flood Mitigation Division, his current work includes managing a technical team of over 20, overseeing all projects while working closely with Clients, writing specifications, preparing and detailing architectural drawings and reviewing shop drawings. A few notable Landmark Buildings he has worked on are Carnegie Hall, The Hearst Building, One Chase Plaza and 570 Lexington Avenue (The GE Building). Also serving as the Director of Flood Mitigation Services (FMS), Mr. Chan formed the division in 2013 in response to Hurricane Sandy. Vidaris has since provided consulting services for: NYC Blood Center, 7 World Trade Center, 80 Pine Street, 173-176 Perry Street, and 55 Water Street, among others.
